If you know someone who like to try strategy game might be worth to be given to them.Īctually an "achievement" game. I heard it's pretty mediocre, but the minimalist artstyle's cool. Worth to be given to anyone, only those who specifically dislike metroidvanias would dislike this. Some sort of metroidvania with cool artstyle. If someone like puzzle quest they most likely might appreciate this. I'm actually surprised you don't know most of them.īasically puzzle/dungeon crawling hybrid similar in thought with puzzle quest (though different implementation obviously). I must say that most of them are actually pretty famous games. I haven't played all of them but I'll mention what's already in my wishlist/knowledge. In brief, it's kinda like the early Grand Theft Auto games (I think, only saw others play 'em) with less driving and more "Hur hur, here's another 1980s reference for you." Retro City Rampage is one I didn't like, so that'd probably color my description. I haven't played it much but wouldn't mind picking it up again. Exceptional graphics and sound.Īqua Kitty is basically a remake of the old arcade games Defender and Stargate, but with powerups and not having to start the whole thing over when you blow up. Pix the Cat is some sort of mashup of Snake, Pac-Man, and, I dunno, Diamond Mine. It's basically a sequel game (the original was called 10000000) so it's gone through a bit of polish already. Yes, it's heavily pixelated, but I enjoyed it. You shift columns and rows in real-time to make attacks, build defense, and gain currencies for powerups in later runs. "You Must Build A Boat" is a fun enough fast-paced match-x game. Incidentally, from what I've heard Sacred 3 is hot garbage, I'd avoid that one. I could never get into it myself for some reason, but if you like that sort of deliberately old-fashioned gameplay it might be worth a try.

  • Retro City Rampage DX: This is basically a throwback to the old top-down GTA games.
  • It's not really as horrifying as it thinks it is (apart from the bit where you have to guide a needle into your own eyeball, that's a bit wince-inducing), but if you treat it as a first person shooter where the enemies are monstrously warped humans then you won't go far wrong.
  • Dead Space 2: This isn't quite as good as the first game, but it's definitely worth playing.
  • It has its faults-whoever decided that the best thing to do if the player dies is to respawn them at their last save point, but still have their weapons degraded and ammo used to the point at which they died, is an idiot-but it's definitely worth a try just be prepared to bail out if you find it's not for you.
  • Dead Island: I actually like this game, but I seem to be in a minority on that.

However, the PC port of SR2 is really, really bad (as in buggy and doesn't work very well), so you should look for a mod that fixes that if you want to actually play it.

Saints Row 2: Excellent GTA-style game with much darker humour than GTA itself.

It's very easy and very short-maybe worth a look if you're really into the genre. Broken Age: Point and click adventure made by Double Fine. Some of those I've never heard of, others, I've heard of but not played.
